Alcoholic Anonymous

In a vain attempt to hide her pain
she wraps herself in cellophane
lights a match but it won’t burn

Props herself with cigarrettes
dwells on things that she regrets
while everyone she’s hurt takes their turn

She tries to buy some time with her last borrowed dime
but finds out, it’s already spent
so she puts her head between her knees
Comfortable in her disease and wonders…
Where it all Went

Shine, Shine bottle of wine
how long must I stand here in line
Fear, Fear bottle of beer
everywhere I turn I end up here

Shine, Shine bottle of wine
My life…was just a waste of time
